In Vieste there are two Restricted Areas:
- Z.T.L. “Centro Storico”,its boundary concerns: Lungomare E. Mattei (excluded), via Madonna della Libera (excluded), Corso Cesare Battisti (incluso), Via Barbacane (included), Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (included), via Pola (included), Via San Francesco (included);
- Z.T.L. “Borgo ottocentesco”, its boundary concerns: via Santa Maria di Merino (excluded), Corso L. Fazzini (excluded), viale Marinai d'Italia (excluded), Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo (excluded), via Ferdinando Magellano (excluded), Lungomare Amerigo Vespucci(excluded)

Access to Vieste ZTL is watched by 8 cameras located in:
- viale Federico II
- via Oberdan
- via Battisti
- via Italia
- via Dell'erba
- corso Tripoli
- via Capuccini
- via Sant'Eufemia
ZTL working time and days
Vieste ZTLs work everyday from 15.06 to 15.09 from 20:00 to 07:00 .
Admitted vehicles
In Vieste Restricted Area (Vieste ZTL ), any kind of vehicles can't enter without any authorization, even motorcycles and scooters must be allowed to enter.
Zero Emmission vehicles can be authorized to enter.
Authorized people
The following kinds of people can get authorization to enter in Otranto ZTL:
- Residents;
- Shops or companies inside the ZTL;
- Hotel guests;
- Disabled people;
- Health care;
- Doctors;
- Public services;
- Police;
- Public Administration;
- Car park owners;
- Bishops Vehicles;
- Electric vehicles;
- Artisans ;
- Constructions;

When Vieste ZTL doesn't work, it is possible to deliver goods.

Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in Vieste ZTL.
If you need to enter we advice to contact Local Police. within 7 days since you entered.

Hotel guests access
Hotel guests can enter in Vieste ZTL for loading and unloading luggage.
It is up the hotel to say car plate to Local Police.

Local Police may give temporary access authorizations in Vieste Restricted Area after production of motion.

If you got in Vieste Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine except urgenties.
In these cases, you have to inform Local Police within 7 days since you entered.
