ZTL Areas (AR)

Tropea restricted area (ZTL Tropea) covers all the historic center and its boundary concerns: via Lungomare, discesa Vescovado e vicolo Adesi.

There is also a Summer restricted area (ZTL Tropea) concerns the following streets of the historic center: Via carmine (grom via del Soccorso ), Viale Stazione (fromlargo San Michele to via del Soccorso), Largo Dan Michele, Via Umberto I, via Regina Margherita, largo Vaccari, via Libertà (from via Piave to villetta Isola), villetta isola and via Ospedale.

Via Indipendenza
Via Libertà intersection via Piave
Via Carmine intersection via Del Soccorso

ZTL working time and days

Tropea ZTL gates work every day from 0.00 to 24.00 except:

via Indipendenza gate doesn't work:
- from 1.11 to 1.04 from 17.00 to 19.00;
- from 16.12 to 24.12 from 5.30 to 8.00;
from 1.06 to 1.11, via Libertà and Via Carmine gates work only from 18.00 to 8.00.

Admitted vehicles

In Tropea Restricted Area (Tropea ZTL ), any kind of vehicles can't enter without any authorization, even motorcycles and scooters must be allowed to enter.

The following kinds of people can get authorization to enter in Tropea ZTL:

Residents and house owners;
Emergency vehicles;
Weddings and Funerals;
Doctors;
Taxi and NCC;
Press;
Voluntary organizations;
Disabled people;
Hotel guests;
Employed Public Administration;
Local Administration;
Artisans.

Time for loading and unloading goods

On Working days, authorized vehicles can deliver goods in Tropea ZTL:from 06.00 to 9.30 and from 13.30 to 17.00.

Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in Tropea ZTL but they need to register their plate number. They must fill in an apllication they can download from Tropea webisite and send it to Local Police.
There are three possibilities:

Usual entrance: you need to fill your plate in white list
Occasional entrance: you ask an occasional permit
You want to avoid a fine because you entered before, you must fill in the application and send it to Local police within 48 hours.

Hotel guests access

Hotel guests can enter in Tropea ZTL for loading and unloading luggage.
They must fil in the application and send it to local Police within 48 hours after their entrance.

Local Police may give temporary access authorizations in Tropea Restricted Area after production of motion.

If I got into ZTL without any permission, is it possible to revoke the fine ?

If you got in Tropea Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine except hotel guests or disabled people.
