ZTL Areas (AR)

Turin restricted area (ZTL Turin) covers all the historic center and its boundary concerns: corso Regina Margherita, corso San Maurizio, lungo Po Cadorna, lungo po Diaz, Corso Cairoli, corso Vittorio Emanule II, corso Matteotti, corso Vittorio Amedeo II e corso Palestro.

In Central ZTL there are:

  • Romana ZTL
  • Pubblic transport ZTL
  • pedestrian ZTL

There is also Valentino ZTL.

In the restricted area, there is a Pedestrian Area, too.

ZTL working time and days

Turin Central ZTL works every working day (excepted Saturday ), from 7.30 to 10.30.

Area Romana Turin ZTL  works; :

  • from 21.00 to 7.30 a.m. ;
  • in piazza Emanuele Filiberto works from 19.30 to 7.30 am.

Turin Pubblic transport ZTL  works every day from 7.00 to 21.00.

Turin pedestrian area works every day from 0 to 24.

Del Valentino Turin ZTL (in Italian ZTL) works every day from 0.00 to 24.00 .

Admitted vehicles

In Turin Restricted Area (Turin ZTL ), only four wheel vehicles can't enter without any authorization, therefore motorcycles and scooters can enter without any problem.

Motorcycles and scooters can't enter in via Rossini and in via Pietro Micca.

In Turin ZTL it is forbidden to enter to vehicles Euro 0, 1 and 2.

Bycicles can't enter in bus Lane.

Authorized people

The following Vehicles, at least Petrol Euro 1 or diesel Euro 2  (but less than 10 years old) can enter in Turin central ZTL without any authorization:

  • Motorcycles and scooters.
  • Car Sharing;
  • Surveillance;
  • Public utilities;
  • Public Administrations,
  • Loading papers;
  • Igienic services;
  • Diplomatic Corps.
  • Public transport
  • Petrol tanker;
  • Public Administrations,
  • Companies of Turin Municipality;

Other Vehicles, indipendently from Euro 1 or Euro 2:

  • Taxi and NCC;
  • AMIAT , cleaning streets;
  • Police, mail vehicles, Ambulances,
  • ARPA, 'ASL and Hospitals;
  • Public transport for disabled people;
The following Vehicles at least Petrol Euro 1 or diesel Euro 2 veicoli diesel (but less than 10 years old) can enter in Turin Public Transport ZTL without any authorization:
  • Motorcycles and scooters.
  • Car Sharing;
  • Public utilities;
  • Public Administrations,
  • Loadings papers;
  • Igienic services;
  • Diplomatic Corps.
  • Public transport
  • Petrol tanker;
  • Public Administrations,
  • Companies of Turin Municipality;
  • G.T.T. Spa and 5 T Srl;

Other Vehicles, indipendently from Euro 1 or Euro 2:

  • Taxi and NCC;
  • AMIAT , cleaning streets;
  • Public transport for disabled people;
  • ARPA, 'ASL and Hospitals;

  • G.T.T. Spa and 5 T Srl;
  • Mail vehicles;
  • Animal catcher;

Other Vehicles, indipendently from Euro 1 or Euro 2:

  • Taxi and NCC;
  • Local admistration vehicles for disabled people
  • Police, mail vehicles, Ambulances,
  • Health service and civil protection.

The following kinds of people can enter in Turin Pedestrian Area  without any authorization:

  • Public Administrations,
  • Loadings papers;
  • Igienic services;
  • Surveillance;
  • Motorcycles and scooters.
  • Residents;

Other Vehicles, indipendently from Euro 1 or Euro 2:

  • AMIAT , cleaning streets;
  • Police
  • Taxi and NCC;
  • Animal catcher;

The following kinds of people can enter in Turin Area Romana ZTL without any authorization:

  • Bycicles.
  • Public Administrations,
  • Disabled people;
  • Loadings papers;
  • Igienic services;
  • Taxi and NCC;
  • Diplomatic Corps.
  • Car Sharing;
  • AMIAT , cleaning streets;
  • Public utilities;
  • Public transport
  • Petrol tanker;
  • Public Administrations,
  • ARPA, 'ASL and Hospitals;
  • Companiesof Turin Municipality;
  • Surveillance;
  • Police, mail vehicles, Ambulances,

Turin permit aren't for park. It is enogh you pay where it is necessary.

If  you want to enter in Turin ZTL, you must get ones of these kinds of permit:

  • disabled people with a registered disabled persons badge;
  • Public administration, Public utilities, press, shoops, restaurants, Doctors and others activity;
  • Delivery jewels, Press
  • Police and Public Administrations
  • film
  • Residents and workes in green area, Occurrence
  • Bringing Students
  • Private car park owners ;

Time for loading and unloading goods
Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in Turin Central ZTL without any time slots.
Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in other Turin ZTL:
  • ZTL Area Romana : from10.30 to 16.00;
  • ZTL Public Transport :from 10.30 to 12.30 (excluded via Rossini);
  • Pedestrian area :from 10.30 to 12.30;
  • ZTL Valentino :from 10.30 to 12 and from 15 to 16.30 from Monday to Friday, and from 10.30 to 12 on working Saturday .

Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in Turin ZTL but they need to register their plate number.

You must fill in application (no more than 2 plate numbers).

If you enter without any permit you can active after dispensation. It is better, before entrance, you  fill in application and send it to GTT.

Hotel guests access
Hotel guests can enter in Turin ZTL for loading and unloading luggage.
It is up the hotel to say car plate to Local Police.

If I got into ZTL without any permission, is it possible to revoke the fine ?
If you got in Turin Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine except your reasons is one of these:determinazione dirigenziale del 19/12/2011 numero 44672.
In these cases, you have to inform GTT within 10 days since you entered.
