ZTL Areas (AR)

Siena restricted area (ZTL Siena) covers a part of the historic center.

It is divided into three different areas.

In ”Historic Y ”, Banchi di Sopra-Banchi di Sotto-via di Città, it is forbidden to transit for everybody excluded residents, park owner and authorized by local Police.

Admitted vehicles

In Siena Restricted Area (Siena ZTL ), only four wheel vehicles can't enter without any authorization, therefore motorcycles and scooters can enter without any problem.

Authorized people

The following kinds of people can get authorization to enter in Siena ZTL:

• Taxi and NCC
• NCC
• Local administration and public service
• Disabled people

The following kinds of people can get yearly authorization to enter:

• Residents
• Parkings
• over 70 years old
• Under 18 years old
• Disabled people
• Artisans
• Constructions
• Delivery goods;
• Services
• Voluntary organizations
• unpredictable cases
• Contrade

It is possible to get temporary permits.

Time for loading and unloading goods

The following categories of vehices can enter Siena Restricted area for delivering goods:

• Lorry drivers,
• Couriers,
• wholesalers,
• Delivery Food ( fresh, frozen and baked products, too),
• companies delivering bulky goods (cleaning and move),
• Shoop keepers,
• catering,
• Chemist's,
• Medical goods,
• Tanks,
• Market,
• Newspapers and flowers.

For permit, you must you must prove your keeping in ZTL more than 3 times a  month with temporary permit.

Your vehicle must be commercial and under 72  q.li.

Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in Siena ZTL:

• 6.00/10.00, 15.30/17.00, or alternative 19.00/20.30 only for ZTL B lorry drivers , wholesalers, food, bulky goods, shops
• 6.00/18.00 only electric vehicles
• 6.00/19.00 only Fresh food, Frozen and baked products , catering, tank, market, newspapers , move
• 6.00/21.00 Chemist's, medical goods and flowers

These rules are for all people:

• APU and "Y storica" only 6.00/9.30
• Piazza Il Campo only 6.00/10.00
• ZTL "A" only 6.00/10.00 and 15.30/17.00.

On Saturday you can deliver only on the morning. On not working days you can't.

It is possible to deliver in via Banchi di Sopra only in few particular cases.
You can parking no longer than 15 minutes.

Permit fare change by category and time slots.
